Season Kickoff Cocktail 2026/27

22 September 2026

Cascais, Portugal / 2.10.2026 — On Saturday 12 September, the night before the club's first league match of the 2026/27 season, Cascais SAD brought friends, partners and sponsors together at Health Club Visconde for its first Season Kickoff Cocktail.

Guests representing more than 20 companies from across Cascais and the surrounding region spent the evening in the gardens at Visconde, with the season's kits on display and the campaign about to begin.

CEO Gonçalo Moura and James O'Neill, Business Development at Estrella Football Group, spoke to the room about what the club is building this season, on and off the pitch. Both reflected on last season, when Cascais SAD won the league without a single defeat in front of a town that filled the ground, and on the foundation that season has given the club to build from.

Promotion has changed what the club needs. Stronger opposition, longer away trips, and a step up in the infrastructure required to compete. This season the club introduced matchday ticketing for the first time, in partnership with Fever, alongside a membership built for the community that fills the stands. Those are commercial steps, but their purpose is straightforward. Every euro raised goes back into the squad, the ground and the academy.

A club does not grow in isolation

A club like this one does not grow on its own. It grows because local businesses, partners and communities decide to back it, and because the club gives them something worth backing.

Cascais SAD is not a football project run from a distance. The ambition is for the club to sit at the heart of this region: creating real value for the businesses that support it, building relationships across the local community, and helping grow sport in Cascais beyond football alone.

That is why the evening was a thank you rather than a pitch. The people in the gardens at Visconde are the reason the club can be ambitious at all.

Gonçalo Moura, CEO of Cascais SAD, said: "The people in this room are the reason the club can be ambitious. We are not asking Cascais to support a team, we are building something the town owns a part of, and the businesses here are building it with us. Our job is to make sure that support comes back to them, in visibility, in customers, and in a club they are proud to be associated with."

James O'Neill, Business Development at Estrella Football Group, added: "What Cascais achieved last season was not an accident, and neither is what comes next. The group's role is to give a club like this one access to partners and technology it would struggle to reach alone. But the relationships in this room are local, and they are what make the project real."

Thank you to our event partners

The evening was made possible by businesses who provided the venue, the food, the drinks and the materials on the night:

Our thanks to all of them, and to everyone who joined us.

The first of many

This was the first event of its kind at Cascais SAD. It will not be the last. The club will bring partners, sponsors and the local business community together again through the season, on matchdays and away from them.
